[ She's fine with an open I.O.U. It's Donnie, he isn't going to use it to fuck over her or her team. ]

Well... You can call it in whenever. I'm not going anywhere. [ The disinfectant doesn't get much of a reaction beyond a soft hiss and a tightening of her fist.

The sewing, though.

The first one she tolerates with good grace. The second makes her tense. The third she fights not to flinch from, grabbing herself by the wrist to keep her arm exactly where it is. ]

[There is that. He may ask for a rough favor, usually a 'for your own good' rough, but never one to actually hurt her.]

[At the very least, he's efficient. He isn't a gentle medic, but the harshness is never beyond what's necessary to be quick and thorough. Ignoring the signs of distress as long as they don't interfere with his work.]

[ Her uninjured leg draws up to her chest, smooth enough that it won't interrupt him. She drops her head onto her knee, moves her hand from her wrist to her elbow, and grips tight with nails digging in. It hurts, but it's grounding — it's pain that she is in control of. There. Face hidden. Almost hugging herself. Holding tight so she's still and not, say, accidentally punching him. ]

Even worse when I can't see. I know it's just you, you're not stabbing me repeatedly for the fun of it, it doesn't even hurt that bad - [ It's just!! Hard! Not to get tangled up and lost in the onslaught of bad when everything feels ramped up to eleven ] How much left?

Definitely not for the fun of it. Its too much stress. Leo is a lot better at the bedside manner for this sort of thing.

[He's focused on the wound. As long as she's not making his job harder, she can do whatever she needs to. Just clean, stitch, figure out what needs to be done.]

[ two more. she can handle two more easily, no problem at all. except her wings threaten twitch, threatening to flap, and shit, she's had less practice with keeping them still - ]

[There is instant sound of metal moving and robo arms are grabbing her wings, flaring them out and away, to make it harder to struggle too hard.]

[ He can feel the violent shudder run through her, and the way her wings strain against the hold before she settles again, tense, breathing harder. ]

[Then he leans in and dies so. At least that touch is gentle.] You are doing good for me. You can keep it up. [His. His tone is flat though.]

[ The kiss on the cheek is welcome, makes her smile a little despite the ache, the anxiety, and how very much she hates all of this.

Good or bad? [He is going to move on to check her leg injuries next. They're likely to bleed more than her arms.]

[ nothing for a moment, but then a a wheezy hiccuping giggle escapes her. ]

[ the main wound on her calf is long and tapered, far deeper at one end than the other; it's almost like a stab that got wrenched sideways. not pretty. the skin around it is already mottled with bruising ]

This will need trimming and stitches. Beginning now. [Time to take care of ragged skin for cleaning and stitching.]

[Robot arm does come out to hold her ankle to help keep her steady.]

[ mmmmmno. no. dislike. dislikedislike. he'll feel her fight him on it for a handful of seconds, an odd noise like a hissing growl escaping before she breathes out shakily and gets a grip. ]

[It probably says his much Leo is a pain in that he doesn't seem to react to her hissing or fighting, just waits for her leg to still so he can work.]

The absolute worst. Broken bones, a severely cracked shell, which is the only thing between organs and air, there is no skin under it, and he still tries to get out of bed.

[ It takes her a hot second to settle again, blinking hard against reflexive tears. But she does eventually manage it. ]

[ Her pain scale might be garbage but that doesn't mean she doesn't feel it. She's soft under all those scars. ]

That sounds horrific. How did you stop him?

Restraints and sedatives. And guilt trips when he needed the sedatives to clear his system before more.
