It helps makes guidance easier. The shells are an obstacle usually.

Proximity to instinctive spots is a powerful thing. Between wings is like courtships. Tails is definitely trying to round the bases.

... When you put it that way, it makes an embarrassing amount of sense. [ a sigh, but it's tinged with sheepish laughter ] I never expected this part of the whole - bird-bits thing. The cooing, the ... the instincts. Kinda silly, in hindsight.

A bit. Whose going to combine human and animal and not mix in instincts? And determining only certain instincts would be difficult.

In my defense, my wings didn't even come bundled with, "okay, this muscle does this, here's how you hold them, this is flapping, you adjust your flight feathers like so." I was so bad at it all, Tellochi. So, so, so bad.
