The others couldn't get the nerve to tell him off and he had already gotten used to my dismissive behavior. So Dr. Delicate Touch took control because Mikey is less able to be swayed by puppy dog eyes while in that persona.

Bootyyyshaker9000: I didn't run into it, but the area with blood meant a lot of fish died at once. That means a feeding frenzy, either from a swarm, or something large, but either one is a very serious threat when most drown in less then five minutes and move like they're half intoxicated.

Bootyyyshaker9000: I could. Like I have stated, being underwater is soothing. That would counter most of my ailments. I can fight effectively underwater. There could be people on the land, ready to aid should it be necessary, or to keep an eye out for disturbances to find their locations.
