[ After one final happy twirl of the mop, she... HUGS IT... and steps over to peer more closely at the forge itself, though she doesn't get too close to it. She knows Basic Forge Etiquette (THANKS RYE) ]
As I know my world doesn't have any turtles that can breathe under water ... Some of them can hold their breath for a really, really long time though! Is it different where you're from?
I am very interested if that's true, or you simply don't know the turtle species who can.
Most do just hold their breathes a very long time, but some species are able to draw oxygen from the water.
There is a limit to it. Like if you get one hundred percent of air necessary on land with each breath, my water breathing is getting ninety percent of it underwater. Eventually I'm not getting enough oxygen to function underwater and need to surface for a full breath.
But I can stay underwater for a full two hours, no need to take a breath or anything.
Unlikely. I usually swim to get away from people. As much as I do appreciate the ability to socialize normally, my social batteries do have a limit and the water is a great way to recharge.
[Also he can't swim as fast with his battleshell on and he Refuses To Be Without in front of strangers.]
Also I do a lot of swimming in the lake, and there are water monsters, you'd do better to practice in the pond.
[He grabs his staff and with a twirl, he makes a simple purple construct, a mold judging by the insides that can be seen. Putting the mold in a wooden brace to keep still as he grabs the tongs again and gonna pour in this metal.]
Yes. You don't want to be carrying a bunch of needles in your pockets.
[He pulls out the mold once the metal is cooled and opening it and going to look over these needles. Quality Control is Important. Dropping the ones that pass into the container.]
This place can be quite rough on clothes. It is best to take care where you can.
I most likely will. I'm going to be making Sparrow's kitchen and that means I'm going to be asking for labor from you guys during it.
Oh. When you finish Raph's mask, give it to me. It was heavily implied Leo was going to do so and I'm using that as a judging metric, but also I don't want Raph to get uncomfortable not having a mask, so I'm going to see what gives first.
Uriel made a deal for it. She's going to help me finish up Robin's Egg's kitchen and then I'm going to do work on yours. It'll be a few days before I can start the work.
Though if you have any requests, sooner is better than later. Easier if I can work it into the design ahead of time.

[Yes, good. Very good because Donnie ain't the best at enforcing safety policy, his brothers only learn if they get burnt anyway-]

Longer if I'm asleep.

I only know what I've heard in classes, so I'll defer to the actual turtle! Wow. You learn something new every day.
I can't blame you for not wanting to do that kind of thing in a big city though.

I don't want to do that with any water in New York. I can swim in it, I'm not breathing it.

Eughhhhhhhh.
[ shakes her head ]
At least this place has one thing in its favour: nice clean water to play in.

Its pretty good practice.

Thank you so much for this. Really! Next time you need help with something, let me know and I'll be there.

You don't need to tell me that. [ she is
very very very very very very used to what places like this do to clothes ]
But wait, you're making a kitchen for us? I hadn't heard! — and I'll give the mask to you, don't worry.
