[Compliments are always appreciated, but also unexpected and when its a kind he has no preparation for, he is just going to get flustered and will prefer to bury himself while he deals with the warm fuzzy feelings.]

[People keep saying CUTE and its WEIRD and nice, but W E I R D.]

[But he will figure out an angle to read this book while draped on this girl who clearly needs a nap and also more contact in her life. He'll have to recruit Raph, he thinks.]

[ unfortunately for him, the book on botany is both interesting and engagingly written. it's at least an hour before she even starts to nod, and longer still until her grip on the book slips ]

That makes almost a full night's sleep. Nice. [ JOKINGLY. And yet? ]

I am quite aware, but that doesn't make it less necessary. Especially when innovation isn't the reason you're up.

Sometimes I'm up because of video games.

But there will be if I have any say in it. If Hunter-kun can get a sewing machine, I can get a Gameboy.

Of course there will be video games eventually, but that is still some time. And you need sleep.

Jokes aside [ not that wanting video games is a joke. please. please let her have stress relief. ] I do try to sleep.

... I'm kinda hoping that none of the people who would notice end up here, but if they do - they would notice. And I won't be able to help my team effectively if I'm sleep deprived.

[Video games are very serious business.]

Add Raph to that list. I swear he's developed some way to smell sleep deprivation. Too many days and he will find you if he's found you even remotely charming.

If he clocks me as an insomniac as quickly as I clocked him as a big brother, I'm in danger.

[ reaches for her book; she's comfy now, and she doesn't want to move just yet ]

You may get two weeks before he determines what is the difference between sleeping well and not.

Or you could just come to the pillow fort. I'm usually awake about two hours before dawn anyway.
