Noise

It starts as just irritation. A metaphorical crawling under your skin. Things are too noisy, too bright, there is too much happening all the time and you can't take it all in-

Then silence it, make it yours, make it you, take control and destroy what will not submit

It sounds so inviting, a freedom from the noise, but its wrong, its wrong, its wrong and the noise is getting louder, mechanical and foreboding as it sees you, it knows you are there, and it wants to make you apart of it.

For a moment, there is quiet.

[You are in a bedroom. Or a subway car? A subway car converted into a bedroom. One of the seats has been converted into a bed that is inside an openable cylinder. Its lid is currently open, showing the nice bedding that's inside. It looks comfortable enough. There is an armoire with a stylized painting of a sunny lake on it, with heavy orange accents. There is shelving that has books, game, CD cases, along with actions figures highlighted in blue, DVDs in grey, puzzles with heavy amounts of red, figurines of gold grey birds, and other such memorabilia. There are posters on the wall of science expos and conventions highlighted in yellow. Everything is neat and orderly, save for a few tablets scattered on a night stand beside the bed. The room is obviously someone's personal room, but there is a sterility to it that makes it seem its not quite the personal sanctuary these rooms usually are.]

[The windows don't show what's outside. Instead they are covered in digital picture frames with alternating pictures of the Hamato clan, as well as some people in snek, such as Robin's Egg, Hunter, Korone, and Eve. Sometimes others, but those are the most common faces. Usually in moments of kindness or cruelty.]

[At the four corners of the room, instead of being the usual crisp corners of a subway car, there are instead pillars that are holding up the roof, all a deep purple color.]

[There is a door out of the room, subway doors, cracked open.]

[ Crow is going to take a moment to check out the room first-- the blue action figures, the grey DVDs, the red puzzles, the gold-grey birds. He also takes a moment to pause and watch some of the digital picture frames to "outside". ]

[The pictures constantly cycle. It starts to become clearer as they cycle its not just pictures taken at a distance, but instead from someone's perspective. The person is looking for their reactions.]

[A moment where arms are wrapped around Raph's head in a hug in a bathroom. A moment where Leo is looking at him with a disturbed look with a hippo man posing in the background. Helping free a capybara man from a medical table inside a tent.]

[Shooting Suyeong in the leg. Holding out a guitar to Crow. Setting down a bird Hunter in a cage on the rock in the bunker.]

[As for the memorabilia, does he just look or does he touch]

[ He's startled to see the moment with the guitar. Or himself at all, really. He takes a moment to blink in surprise.

And yes, he's touching the memorabilia. ]

[Welcome to being part of his selfishness and morality, Crow.]

[As he touches the action figures-]

[Out of everyone, he will understand the most where he's coming from. If he protests, then he is definitely skirting too far.]

[The DVDs-]

[He wants to be better than he is. There are times where he's bad, times where he does hurtful, selfish things, but he wants to be better. Its admirable that despite everything, he manages to still believe in the ideal enough to teach us.]

[The red puzzles-]

[He is the ideal. I will do anything and everything it takes to let him continue to be that person.]

[The birds-]

[He needs to be protected. Do not be cruel to do it. He has had too much cruelty in his life, and he deserves to be better than you are, even if you are so similar in so many other ways.]

....Heh. You really care about 'em, huh?

[ Doesn't make sense why there's a picture of him there, but the others he gets.

He'll leave the items where they are, and glances towards the doors. He doesn't leave the room entirely, not just yet, but he is glancing out. ]

[MAYBE]

[HE LIKES YOU CROW]

[He sees]

[A sewer tunnel]

[ That's a terrible idea, has he considered: Not?

He's going to start walking down the sewer tunnel, keeping a mental map as he does so he can make his way back if he has to. ]

[He finds Ember charming.]

[Does more need to be said????]

[Down the sewer tunnel and the world is]

[Quiet]

[There is a peace in that. There is quiet, only the soft sound of moving water, and the occasional drip. Far enough down its hard to see the city street. Its dark, but not pitch black.]

[Its lonely]

[But]

[Sometimes everything is too much and this is what you need]

[ Ember is charming, Donatello is right.

It's weird, because no matter how he tries, he can't tell where the drip is coming from. It's not vital though, just annoying. ]

If I were an avatar of selfishness, where would I be....?

[ He's wandering down the sewer for a bit. Still keeping a mental map. ]

[Further and further he goes and]

[Honestly, he doesn't hear the subtle movements until he's passing the corner and there is suddenly a WHOLE LOT OF EYES AND PINK TENDRILS like six inches from Crow on his bad hearing side.]

[ He does not hear them in time but he does see them, and lets out a startled— ]

Shit--! ARCUS, activate!

[ And as quickly as he can, he is going to try and send out a Chrono Break (Time Arts to slow them down). ]

[It slows down the tentacles that were absolutely reaching for him, gives him chance to get space without having to dive headfirst into sewage.]

[The pathway is utterly filled with Kraang bits, pulsing and shifting and]

[There's something grey in there]

[ Crow takes several steps back and-- using his double saber is going to be useless. Right. But he needs to try and clear a path through to that something grey.

He's not going to announce using his ARCUS this time, but he's going to concentrate for a moment before setting off a Diamond Nova-- it's a very LARGE and very painful ice attack with an 80% chance of freezing the enemy. ]

[Its hard to say if the freeze kills or doesn't kill the tentacles, but what it DOES do is freeze the tentacles for the moment.]

[And maybe that grey thing, the ice is certainly getting to there.]

[At the very least Crow has a bit of time to act, HOW DO]

[ Crow is going to see if he can navigate through the frozen tentacles to get to the Grey Thing. ]

[He is able to navigate to the grey thing.]

[As he gets to the grey thing, he can see the tentacles are starting to move in the ice. They haven't broken free yet, but speed is the better part of valor right now.]

[He can also see the grey thing is]

[A child figure in a grey hoody]

[ Crow does not have time to think about this.

Actually, speaking of Time, he's going to very quickly shoot off a Chrono Burst, which increases his own personal time to make him move more quickly, grab the child figure, and make a mad dash to get out of the tentacle mass. ]

[Very good to have that Chrono Burst. It slows down the tentacles he's able to grab the now Very Cold, Very Green child from the ice and he can get out of the mass of tentacles.]

[ Sorry Very Cold, Green Child. He's holding onto them with as firm a grip as he can (which is, in fact, fairly firm and secure).

He is not stopping once he escapes the tentacle mass. He made a point of remembering where he was going just for a moment like this-- he is not stopping for even a second, running straight the hell back to the Personal Room. ]

[Luckily between the Freeze and the Chrono Burst, he is able to make it back to the Personal Room without the tentacles catching up.]

[And he'll be able to see the child, about ten years old, in a grey mouse hoody.]

[ Does the child in grey perchance look like they could possibly have been a young Donatello?

Either way, he's placing the kid down on the bedding area. When he speaks, it's with a gentle tone. ]

Sorry about the cold. Are you hurt anywhere?

[ He's checking for injuries as he asks. ]

He is going to bundle as many blankets as he can to warm the child figure up. ]

[Oops]

[At least there's blankets and]

[There is a feeling in the bed.]

[You are the one who has to make the evil choice. If it has to be made, you have to make it. This is what you can do that they can't, not without the cost being too steep.]

[But the blankets are going to help him warm up.]
