Noise

It starts as just irritation. A metaphorical crawling under your skin. Things are too noisy, too bright, there is too much happening all the time and you can't take it all in-

Then silence it, make it yours, make it you, take control and destroy what will not submit

It sounds so inviting, a freedom from the noise, but its wrong, its wrong, its wrong and the noise is getting louder, mechanical and foreboding as it sees you, it knows you are there, and it wants to make you apart of it.

Rules
1. Powers are not inherently active.
1A. Save for Hamato Ninpo, but Specific Powers are not working right. Like mindmeld is a go, mystic form and portals are not.
1B. It is possible to get back your powers, but that is up to your character to figure out.

2. Non-magic based skills are still a go! If it doesn't come from some weird mystic, ill defined in your body mojo, its fine. So physical based abilities are up. Tool based with outside sources abilities are up.

3. Everyone has a Hindrance of some sort. If they're affected by the magic rule, that can be the hindrance. If they are not, then its something else. It can range from a full on disability to an inconvenience, such as the range of vision is fuzzy to outright blindness. The idea is the character will likely have to compensate for this hindrance at one point or another. If Donnie is already aware of a hindrance your character has, this rule does not have to apply. But if the exceptions to the rule want extra hindrance, you do you fam.

4. There is Crafting in this heart that is akin to video games. This works one of two ways. Experimentation is key and can either get an item, or recipe. An item comes from a character taking items and being able to justify why they go together to get a specific item out of it. If the logic is sound enough, the item will be gained. If the logic is not, however, the character will get a recipe for either a use of those ingredients, or a recipe for the item they want if the Heart can determine what would Make It. Luckily if you try to make a gun in the Heart, the Heart will not make you make a full gun yourself. You just put the ingredients together and Heart will do the actual work.
EXAMPLE: You want A Gun. Obtain metal, charcoal, and limestone. Craft them together and Get Gun.
4A. Physical materials are not the only thing that can be used to craft.

[You find yourself coming above the water on a riverbank.]

[The whole of the surroundings are dark, the base color black, but the environment is filled with objects outlined in purple light. Though at times, the purple has shifted away from purple and into a pink color. The shapes of everything are also all very...]

[Its minecraft. You're in a neon minecraft.]

[Beyond the strangeness of the setting, you can see an assortment of terrain around you. You currently find yourself on a river bank and immediately ahead of you is trees and various other flora. Some seem to belong in a park. Other seems to belong in a jungle. There are also some absolutely massive pumpkins. Beyond that, you can see tall buildings, like urban apartment buildings, though overgrown with what appears to be plants.]

[Across the river, you can see what looks like an old train station, less overgrown, with a train half off the tracks, and not far, what appears to a fenced off power station.]

[To the left, you can see what looks like a craggy quarry, that has what looks like a junkyard scattered about, with junked machines amongst the rocks.]

[To the right is lights, more neon lights, and you can hear music and is that a skate park?]

[There is a singular chest near you.]

[There is a word carved on it: Halfway]

[ Crow is quick to get to his feet, taking in his surroundings. He has his double saber strapped to his back, and his ARCUS is safely tucked away in his pocket.

It only takes him a moment before he approaches the chest. The first thing he's going to do is test to see if he can open it without any tools. ]

I'm all about gettin' my hands on a fine chest.

[Fuck. She thought she was having trouble seeing before. She squints - tries to orient herself. It's hard. But she thinks she makes out the right angles, and if there's one thing a video game protagonist knows, it's the shape of a chest.

She'll beeline for that, and just. Carving, what carving. Try to open that thing.]

Hmmm.

[ This looks like something he's going to have to come back to later. He's pretty sure he doesn't have anything to build recipes with right now. ]

[Crow can proceed through the trees, no problem. He may even spot the occasional animal. Mostly squirrels and beavers, who are also square, but also Chilling.]

[ HELL YEAH, even better!

Those animals are really weird. What's even weirder is having to concentrate a lot more on sounds. He didn't notice at first, but his hearing.... it's gone off, hasn't it? At least on one side. What's up with that?

That might cause problems later. For now, though, he's gonna continue to walk towards the apartments, only stopping for a moment to stare at the weirdly square animals. ]

[Scamper off after a few moments.]

[Soon enough, Crow will find himself at the apartment buildings. They're all a little rundown. Not condemned, but certainly on the lower societal ladder. Once he's clear of the trees, he can also see there is a school not too far away.]

We are detouring to the school! ]

[Welcome to the school.]

[It appears to be a modern American high school! Currently devoid of any students.]

[Give her a moment, bringing it closer and then further from her left side, see if that helps bring it into focus. Oh. Recipes.

Well, I know how to make a few things. The tools will still be useful. Be nice to get some gear, just in case. But I'll need salvage...

That is probably NOT fine. But we are going to look through the office first. Are there any drawers, files, anything of note in here worth looking through? ]

[There are certainly drawers! And they even have files! But they're also the weirdly outlined shapes and thus if there's any writing on them, they cannot be perceived.]

[Though he will find as he interacts with paper-]

[Paper has disappeared into his crafting box as a Material.]

[-oh! She's had a menu before. This is good for her worldview.]

[Cars. Cars are known lootables. This little gremlin's taking that crafting menu and heading on down to the junkyard.]

[Cars are indeed known lootables and the crafting table certainly gave you tools for all sorts of looting!]

[In fact, they are stupidly easy to loot, a tool barely has to touch something before its detaching from the car.]

[ Oooh, a Material! Not enough to craft with yet, but that's a solid start. Too bad about the unreadable files, though.

He's gonna leave the room and start going room-by-room, to see if there's anything immediately noteworthy. ]

[He goes from room to room and it is a high school with high school things. Desks, black boards, writing utensils. There's an auditorium, gym, workshops, labs, a computer room and cafetria.]

[All it normal except the computer room does have some jackets in it that are Nonstandard, and the cafetria also has Actual Vines, sans eyes entirely, growing around the entrance to the eating area and the kitchen.]

[ He does see if he can get Materials from the writing utensils, but he stops first in the computer room and tries to turn on a computer. ]

[He can get Chalk, Ink, Graphite, Wood, And Plastic.]

[He turns on the computer and it lights up]

[Wires from the engine compartment are her top priority. Then, try to pry off metal components. Break them down to shards.]

And for shock - these had power sources, didn't they?
