Noise

It starts as just irritation. A metaphorical crawling under your skin. Things are too noisy, too bright, there is too much happening all the time and you can't take it all in-

Then silence it, make it yours, make it you, take control and destroy what will not submit

It sounds so inviting, a freedom from the noise, but its wrong, its wrong, its wrong and the noise is getting louder, mechanical and foreboding as it sees you, it knows you are there, and it wants to make you apart of it.

[He goes from room to room and it is a high school with high school things. Desks, black boards, writing utensils. There's an auditorium, gym, workshops, labs, a computer room and cafetria.]

[All it normal except the computer room does have some jackets in it that are Nonstandard, and the cafetria also has Actual Vines, sans eyes entirely, growing around the entrance to the eating area and the kitchen.]

[ He does see if he can get Materials from the writing utensils, but he stops first in the computer room and tries to turn on a computer. ]

[He can get Chalk, Ink, Graphite, Wood, And Plastic.]

[He turns on the computer and it lights up]

[...to pure purple light]

[ Crow squints at the screen. ]

Aidios, that's bright.

[ All the purple reminds him a bit of Donnie, too.

....he's leaving the screen on while he checks out the nonstandard jackets. ]

[There is a purple dragon on the back and as he touches them]

[Why did he think he could make friends without needing to buy it? He should have known he doesn't have worth to people without being able to able to provide them things to use.]

[ Crow pulls his hand away from the jacket as soon as he feels that. ]

People like that aren't worth calling "friends." The real ones will cherish you regardless of what you can do for them.

[ Not that it means anything. He's talking to a jacket.

Crow sighs and heads towards the cafeteria, leaving the jacket behind.

(And no, he didn't turn the computer off as he left.) ]

[Welcome to the cafetria.]

[There is a feeling...safety is too strong a word. Perhaps security in a more 'secure building' sense over a true feeling of safety.]

[ They will. It's why Crow is trying to keep people at arm's length.

Oh, this is an interesting feeling though. Different.

He's heading towards the kitchen, reaching out to touch the vines as he gets closer. ]

[Material Obtained: Draxum Vines.]

[Honestly, you don't hate the guy. He did bad things to your family, but he also helped you when you needed it and Mikey adores him. You figure it kind of evens out.

He does make you nervous because if you've ever met a person who could make you Worse, its Baron Draxum.

Its funny, the parent you're the most like is the one whose tried to kill your family.]

[We both know you feel things plenty. You can pretend you have no emotions all you want, but eventually you have to face them. You can't just bury them forever. And you know if I have to dig, I will if you won't come up yourself.]

[ He'd wondered, with all the purple he'd seen. But now he knows.

He pulls his hand away from the vine and heads into the kitchen proper. He's looking for food ingredients. Can he find the ingredients to craft....

....a Pizza? ]

[This is, sadly, an American High School Cafetria (in a cartoon logic world) so there are ingredients for a pizza, sure, but the ingredients sure are]

[Suspect]

[Made more suspect in there are more of those vines around, as well as other dubious looking flora. Luckily still no creepy eyes and nothing is pulsing, but its all Dubious Dubious Dubious]

[There are also things along the walls.]

[Papers pinned up about the 'Twilight Realm' and 'Mystic Hand Portals' with copious Math Notes and 'need to talk to Draxum ASAP']

[ Will dubious ingredients stop Crow from making a pizza? Absolutely not. Bonus points here is that he's actually pretty good at pizza baking. Somehow. (It's sweets he's bad at.) (Not that Donatello has ever seen Crow even hint at being able to cook.)

Anyway, if all goes to plan he is gonna make one pizza of potentially dubious quality before checking out those papers. ]

Okay, but where do I find Draxum?

[Making one Dubious Pizza.]

[Good question. It will take a bit of scanning, but he will find something that says Hidden City on it. 'What portal technology do they have? Big Mama does, and it was rather Kraang-y in retrospect, but it seems safe enough?']

[ He takes that piece of paper and is going to stuff it into his pocket. Then he takes his Dubious Pizza and heads out of the school and towards the apartment buildings that were his original goal.

First thing's first. ]

[To the apartment buildings!]

[Most are distant. Cold.]

[Except one feels Safe.]

[Not security, but Safe.]

[ He's going to head towards the Safe one immediately. ]

[Welcome to an apartment building.]

[Safety will be found on roughly the Third floor. Not the top floor, but up there, with a specific apartment.]

[ He's going to keep going until he gets to Safety, and tries to open the door for it. ]

[He opens the door and]

[Its a normal apartment. Signs of people living here, with stuff like blankets thrown over the backs of chairs or glasses on the table and books and such scattered about.]

[Though there is no pink here, but there are lines of yellow mixed with the purple.]

[There is warmth and comfort here. This is safety.]

[ .....It's nice.

Crow's going to put the Dubious Pizza down on the first table he sees, then he's going to look around to see if there are places of concentrated purple or yellow around anywhere. Or anything that seems noteworthy at all. ]

[One of the doors is solidly outlined in yellow.]

[It opens to a young woman's bedroom. There's an hodgepodge of different things scattering around the room from stuff to save the trees, to uniform for a pizza place, electronics, a hard hat and vest with a crane's license?! There's a baseball bat and other sports, a karate gi, and a lot of news articles pinned to the wall as well as random funny turtle based posts.]

Can Crow take PAPER and INK and craft A DRAWING OF A NINJA TURTLE? ]

[Yes]

[Yes he can]

[As he crafts it, it turns from a basic drawing to something more ornate]

[It looks like a gorgeous family picture, taking in the room behind him, with Donnie in a hoody and a young woman watching a movie, laughing, a mess of popcorn flying around them as they half fall off the couch.]

[The drawing is outlined in Orange.]

[ .....He was going to leave it here but you know what?

Crow can bet there will be a place that needs it more. ]

Seems like you already know there are people who value you for more than what you can give them. Deep inside, somewhere.

[ And he's leaving the room and the apartment building. He's looking for any direction that looks like it might be a Hidden City, a Twilight Realm, or a Portal. ]
