Noise

It starts as just irritation. A metaphorical crawling under your skin. Things are too noisy, too bright, there is too much happening all the time and you can't take it all in-

Then silence it, make it yours, make it you, take control and destroy what will not submit

It sounds so inviting, a freedom from the noise, but its wrong, its wrong, its wrong and the noise is getting louder, mechanical and foreboding as it sees you, it knows you are there, and it wants to make you apart of it.

[ Crow moves to dodge the other arm (12), thowing more herbicides at it as he does. ]

We'll talk in a minute!

[ HERBICIDE YOU SAY -

Hunter wheezes a bit himself, not SUPER enjoying the splash damage here, but he startles into action. ]

R-right! okay! Let me help!

[ He turns and move to scrawl a fire glyph on the floor with his staff to help burn it away. ]

[That 12 is probably why there's splash damage as Sacrifice lowers the wall to help Crow-]

[But the Technodrone is more away now and while the herbicide did get on that arm, its not as much this time around. The counteract however, is hindered by his dodging the fire. It doesn't hit the Technodrone, but it delays his own action.]

[ Look, it's Crow's favourite Arts in this heart! He's using it to try and slow down Kraang Donnie. ]

[ He’s going to MAKE MORE FIRE! And maybe try an ice glyph to further slow him down. ]

[The Kraang certainly is slowing down.]

[And instead of waiting for you guys to roll when you're not both on, I just did and I got a 1 so like]

[There is a lot more inhuman shrieking. The fire and ice isn't as effective as the herbicide BY FAR, but its still doing a lot to distract what little attention he's able to give while slowed down.]

Arts isn't magic, but close enough!

[ Crow is the only person in Snek from his canon who cares about the distinction. ]

And yeah, it's a time-based attack.

[ Crow is hurling more herbicides at KraangDonnie, square at his chest (15). ]

What?? I don’t understand that at all!!

[ Hunter skids forward along the ice he made, using it to draw up one massive light glyph and just pummel the Kraang with it. ]

[Player 3 putting a quarter in the slot.

Finding a fight already in process? That's definitely a Tuesday. Aloy's trying to use the chaos to sneak as close as she can before connecting the battery she got to her spear, and then come leaping in, trying to find a Kraang eye with the tip.]

[Hunter and Aloy aren't doing so well, but luckily, Crow both has herbicide and time fuckery on their side which]

[Which it really does a lot, you guys, I can't believe you both got nine, but Crow really brought down that DC.]

[The herbicide hits the Technodrone in the chest and there's another loud, inhuman shriek as it burns through the scutes to reveal more pink goo underneath.]

[The light isn't great for the Technodrone's vision, leaving him stumbling, which makes Aloy's sudden entrance a more glancing blow to an eye. Another shriek from the shock, but then there's a high pitch snarling roar as a multitude of tentacles appear around them. From the walls, the ceiling, the floor, all moving to attack them-]

[But Hunter got to Sacrifice first.]

[There's fabricated walls that pop up around them, blocking them from the tentacles from the most part because Technodrone got a 4.]

Is that metalbite? - No, 'herbicide?'

[Changing environment, interesting. Crow's got some Super Effective projectiles, and Hunter's got glyphs, so she figures: run interference for them. She'll wind up a hefty swing with the spear, going for robot-knockdown weight over precision, trying to get a shock on him. Then rolls to one side, trying to clear the line of fire. (8)]

This thing is seriously gross!

[ Fortunately, Crow grabbed a lot of herbicides. His next dose is going straight for KraangDonnie's head (17).]

Yeah, it's herbicides!

[ FIRE. FIRE EVERYWHERE.

Also he’s coughing a bit more now. ]

C-careful! I’m a plant too!

[Welp, that's a two.]

[Sacrifice is doing what he can, throwing up fabrications to keep the area tentacles away from the three of them.]

[The Technodrone is still trying to push through the ice dilation, but well, they don't really have anything to counter it, especially when Sacrifice isn't backing them.]

[There's a swing of a spear, forcing them off balance and then]

[SO MUCH HERBICIDE]

[And hits the ground, losing all form that's like Donnie, now just turning into a massy blobby pink thing. Lashing out one last time, but they're clearly on their last legs]

[ I SET FIIIIIIIRE

TO THE KRAAAAAANG ]

[What the fuck is Hunter a witch or a plant GOTTA PUT A PIN IN THIS

Just. Gonna leap, to put all her strength, weight, and gravity into bringing her spear down on the blob, letting go and springboarding back off.]

[ Crow caught Hunter's comment so he is getting up CLOSE and PERSONAL before dumping the ENTIRE REMAINING HERBICIDE SUPPLY

THE KRAAAAAAAANG! (17)]

[The combination, between the herbicide, the slowed time, the spear taking what little balance there was, ALL THE FIRE, and Sacrifice hindering any other systems-]

[The Technodone just doesn't have the oomph to fight back.]

[With a horrifying, echoing, ear splitting shriek, the herbicide splashes over the Technodrone, sizzling and burning away into a pink goup as the tentacles all fall limp around the room.]

Did - did we do it?

That might have done it.

[Hand going to her goggles, toggling through modes and looking around, just in case.]

Heh! Now that's what I'm talking about!

[ He hasn't let his guard down yet though, watching for remaining signs of activity. ]

[ Hunter, meanwhile, turns back to Sacrifice. ]

Donnie? You okay?

[The room shifts]

[It gets smaller. It's still got the console, it's still have Kraang ship, but the room is a lot more]

[Manageable in size. Smaller than the other rooms.]

[Sacrifice sits down hard. Still hurt, but]

Crow, please heal Hunter.

[ Crow nods, then holds his fist to his chest for a moment. When he extends his hand out to Hunter, he'll feel bubbles as a cool, watery sensation flows through him. He'll remain dry, but it's a reasonably strong heal. ]

It wouldn't hurt to get looked over still, but that should handle the worst of anything.

[ Ah … that is much better. his coughing subsides. ]
