Noise

It starts as just irritation. A metaphorical crawling under your skin. Things are too noisy, too bright, there is too much happening all the time and you can't take it all in-

Then silence it, make it yours, make it you, take control and destroy what will not submit

It sounds so inviting, a freedom from the noise, but its wrong, its wrong, its wrong and the noise is getting louder, mechanical and foreboding as it sees you, it knows you are there, and it wants to make you apart of it.

You breathe.

Shouldn't need to dig at all. The way I see it, there's just one thing in the way, here.

[If there's enough for it, she'll try to make three - and if not, well. She's still got immediate plans for the first one.]

[Because as soon as she's done crafting, she's going to activate a trap, wait to see a spark, and huck it at those vines.]

[Boy, she'd love to have her normal precision. Makes it easier to go dodging close to things she's pissed off. Prime the second trap, try to lob that at the ones still at the tech, too.

And then she'll turn, scrambling for cover behind a car.]

[Its very hard to dodge when your eyes are messed with.]

[She lobs the trap, there's another inhuman shriek-]

[And there's something that grabs her ankle, digs in quick and deep, to her skin and]

[You can hear whispering all around you. With one sentiment coming through.]

You could be so much more than this.

[Its not an overwhelming sentiment, but it IS tempting.]

[She gasps when it digs in, and - hesitates.

Because she's supposed to be Sobeck. All things are possible, with Sobeck.

But since it's not overwhelming, she'll tense back up momentarily.]

Already too much to handle.

[So. Is this a bad idea? Most plans are. She didn't make a melee weapon, so she's grabbing for the next best thing, the tool she was prying parts off the car with, and attempting to jam that thing into the damn thing at her ankle.]

[Its not a weirdly good wrench, its just a wrench and she will need to wrack hard and fast and will probably bruise up her ankle to escape.]

[Its probably disheartening how the tentacles are not getting torn to shreds like most things would be. Whatever these things are, they're hardy as fuck.]

She's going to try, one more time, to get to the tech. If she can just get her hand on something - a spy drone to help with her vision, a laser, something...!]

[The shredder keeps the tentacles occupied and she is able to retreat!]

If she can, she'll back all the way off to the start, and head for the train. Figures that'll be a good place to hunker down and start fiddling with the drone.]

If I can get this active, maybe I can get these lenses to work for me...

[She can indeed. The tentacles are dangerous, but they were concentrated there.]

[She may notice now that some of the overgrown vines have eyes, but the vines are far less in the train station.]
