doesnt matter he's going to try and use me to get hunter keep hunter away from me bc he wants hunters notes and some book soon as he realizes im texting you and not going to find hunter hes taking the wheel back so just dont listen to anything i say after this just get in and get him out
[and a hesitation because... it's serious and he wants to say it in person, but with that htreat before...]
[Leo was spending some time in the woods keeping Eve company. But eventually they part ways (in a thread that isn't finished) and Leo is alone, twirling a katana in his one good arm. Took the "breaking" punishment. But he's practicing portaling a bit, not much.]
[He'll notice one arm isn't moving, staying at his side. But he's having some portal stutters the longer he goes, a few feet here, ten feet there. He finally does stop, looking at the katana blade as the last bit of electric blue fades off it.]
[One more portal test - and catches a shadow when he changes direction from the portal.
Ah.
So that's it then. Perfect timing.
He'll have to remember the other trick he saw Leonardo do in their fight. Perhaps it can be used for something. For now, he'll stall for a moment, inspecting the blade but keeping a closer ear out for any footsteps.]
[The footsteps are light. Barely there. Maybe even impossible to hear if not for it being Leo's ears.]
[Closer, closer.]
[Then he lunges the last few feet, thrusting out his staff to hook in the gap of his bent arm, attempting to leverage his arm straight out from his body, and try to twist the bo against the blade, as he slams his shoulder into Leo's back.]
[When he hears the steps stop, he's preparing. While fighting directly has never exactly been his expertise nor desire, he's willing to try out this body's defenses. Leonardo had claimed the turtles are best for it, after all.
It only takes a moment to sidestep, avoiding the staff but not the shoulder to his back. He goes down and rolls forward, letting the body's natural instincts take over, ending in a one-kneed crouch looking around.]
[He spins the staff in his hand, adjusts his grip to where he needs it after the extension with one hand, swiping down for the sword, and following up with the other end as he steps close to whack his in the head.]
Not- [Dodging again, jumping back with each jab before using the blade to parry the last one, to knock the bo away.]
Not like that! Self-reflection, Dee!
[Now to see... If he can turn this around. He portals himself out of this spot, coming out of one just above and behind Donatello with katana raised for a downward slice.]
[The bo goes wide, and it dances along his fingers into another spin, pulling it close to his body.]
[Blue light, distortion and dancing shadows, the precise angle of re-entry.]
[He spins, extending his leg for balance as he lowers himself, and swings up to knock Leo away.]
Like anyone asking you if you deserved family treating you poorly would go well! He has a genetic relation to Belos, you know obsession is in their coding!
Once he's knocked away, he rolls into another portal, but not appearing quite so immediately. He portals himself a little ways away, in the trees with the shadow and getting a breath. Hard to do this with the one arm. But maybe that will make it that much more satisfying.]
[He doesn't get the exact location, but the play of light give him the side he's at.]
[He doesn't obviously turn there. Pulling his bo close and moving closer to the trees, getting his back to a trunk. To limit the direction of the portals, at least effective ones.]
[He circles around it, put on the show of searching, but watching for another flicker of light from that part of the woods.]
Seriously, did you talk to the guy at all? Are you taking parenting tips from psychopaths now? It's the kind of move he'd make! Gaslight a poor kid whose been through enough from a colonizing puritan with a brother complex!
Is that it? Have you crossed our careful line of healthy codependency to turn full yandere like that idiotic emporer?
[Sometimes you say things deliberately to confuse an old man.]
He doesn't answer though. One thing he's picked up from Leonardo's memories is that this whole fighting thing is reliant on silence and misdirection. So he'll play the part, since Donatello seems to not realize. Or maybe he does, and the words are getting a little too pointed.
But now he has Donatello in sight and watches from the shadows.]
[He shifts his body. Gets his broken arm to the side of the tree. He breathes, and activates the prosthetic arm, the device extending inside his sleeve, hand moving to hide it's light in his pocket, grabbing his kunai.]
[He can apologize to Leo later.]
[He keeps looking for light, listening for sounds, through the taunting makes that harder.]
Maybe I was wrong to worry about my similarities. Maybe it's yours?
I made a few friends and you decide to wreck your relationships? Treating people cruelly?
Do I need to worry about you murdering people I talk to? Are you going to kill me if I don't behave and try cloning me? That doesn't work, you know. Can't make a copy that matches your memories AND does what you want. It would never happen. I know, I've run that math. Anyone who thinks for two seconds would get it.
You should know better, Leo. I know I say you're dumb, but you're smarter than a cult leader from the 1600s.
[He still watches. Though the audacity of this demon turtle is getting on his nerves.
He needs to finish this quickly.
There's a blip of light to Donnie's right as he looks left, another to his front before it's gone again. A series of portals opening and closing in seconds meant to disorient as he's getting the hang of the turtle's ability like this.
Close then far away, then close again, now with the sound of metal. Until it finally appears immediately behind Donatello, katana blade pressing against the side of his neck.]
[Then another and another and Donnie's brain is fast, doing the calculations, but it's too much at once, even he can't get the angle in time, the seconds delay doesn't allow him to have the staff up in time.]
[He freezes, metal against his neck. Not so far from the other scar.]
... [He breaths.]
[The messages are ready, he knows the moments he'll have.]
That's the thing about us twins.
We don't shut up when told.
But you wouldn't know what real brothers, real family, is like, would you, Belos?
[The kunai lashes out to stab him in the thigh. The slower Leo's body is, the easier it'll be to get him pinned down.]
[Leonardo watches that. Listens as he still drones on while he bleeds out of a slit throat. As Donnie stumbles back against the tree, Leonardo limps the few steps closer to be snout to snout.
He considers for a moment before yanking the kunai out of his thigh and quickly aims to jam it in the other side of Donnie's neck.
It only takes a moment. Looking him in the eyes and searching Leonardo's memories, the muscle memory. And lets out a single chirp. Twin.]

Re: text; end of day 45
I know. I figured out it was Belos today.
You don't owe me an apology for what he did.
Where are you?
Re: text; end of day 45
Sorry, this is a new device and I think you may have the wrong number. Who is this?
Re: text; end of day 45
[He leaves a note in his room, some care is Taken, has texts ready to go, a few other hidden measures-]
here we go then DANI APPROVED
Re: here we go then DANI APPROVED
[No dice, fuck.]
[The first thing to try is to fly up high, scanning the area for where to start even looking for him-]
[Blue.]
[He knows that blue.]
[He heads that way, but he doesn't approach directly by air. Stealth is an important weapon for a ninja.]
[Time to see all that Belos can access.]
[He lands when he feels he can navigate to the blue by ground, moving silently from tree to tree.]

Not bad.
no subject
[Like when he was blind. Black goo, black fucking goo.]
[His arm is bad. Odds are a little better. His own arm is tied to his front under his jacket, leaving a sleeve pinned to his side.]
[Sword first. Portals are too much of a wild card, even faulty ones.]
[(Leo still feels connected. That is something.)]
[He starts to approach, feather light, looking for the blindspots to take advantage of.]

Don! Talk to me!
[He doesn't know who Leonardo was sending a message to but it's clear it hit the twin. Annoying.]
no subject
[What would Mind Leo do?]
You asked Hunter if he really deserved better than his uncle? What the shell is wrong with you?!
[It's not a lie if it's technically true and that makes for a far more convincing act. He just knows who he can really be mad at.]
[Time to see how thrown off he can make him.]
[Another spin, another adjust to his grip, thrusting forward with several quick jabs.]

No, instead he shifts the weight, dragging the blade across that throat and using his momentum to make sure it cuts in deep.]
