Dream Heart
Noise.
It starts as just irritation. A metaphorical crawling under your skin. Things are too noisy, too bright, there is too much happening all the time and you can't take it all in-
It sounds so inviting, a freedom from the noise, but its wrong, its wrong, its wrong and the noise is getting louder, mechanical and foreboding as it sees you, it knows you are there, and it wants to make you apart of it.
For a moment, there is quiet.
You breathe.
And fall through water.

Then silence it, make it yours, make it you, take control and destroy what will not submit

Rules
1. Powers are not inherently active.
1A. Save for Hamato Ninpo, but Specific Powers are not working right. Like mindmeld is a go, mystic form and portals are not.
1B. It is possible to get back your powers, but that is up to your character to figure out.
2. Non-magic based skills are still a go! If it doesn't come from some weird mystic, ill defined in your body mojo, its fine. So physical based abilities are up. Tool based with outside sources abilities are up.
3. Everyone has a Hindrance of some sort. If they're affected by the magic rule, that can be the hindrance. If they are not, then its something else. It can range from a full on disability to an inconvenience, such as the range of vision is fuzzy to outright blindness. The idea is the character will likely have to compensate for this hindrance at one point or another. If Donnie is already aware of a hindrance your character has, this rule does not have to apply. But if the exceptions to the rule want extra hindrance, you do you fam.
4. There is Crafting in this heart that is akin to video games. This works one of two ways. Experimentation is key and can either get an item, or recipe. An item comes from a character taking items and being able to justify why they go together to get a specific item out of it. If the logic is sound enough, the item will be gained. If the logic is not, however, the character will get a recipe for either a use of those ingredients, or a recipe for the item they want if the Heart can determine what would Make It. Luckily if you try to make a gun in the Heart, the Heart will not make you make a full gun yourself. You just put the ingredients together and Heart will do the actual work.
EXAMPLE: You want A Gun. Obtain metal, charcoal, and limestone. Craft them together and Get Gun.
4A. Physical objects are not the only thing that can be crafted.
5. Make your own paths.
Entrace
[The whole of the surroundings are dark, the base color black, but the environment is filled with objects outlined in purple light. Though at times, the purple has shifted away from purple and into a pink color. The shapes of everything are also all very...]
[Square]
[Its minecraft. You're in a neon minecraft.]
[Beyond the strangeness of the setting, you can see an assortment of terrain around you. You currently find yourself on a river bank and immediately ahead of you is trees and various other flora. Some seem to belong in a park. Other seems to belong in a jungle. There are also some absolutely massive pumpkins. Beyond that, you can see tall buildings, like urban apartment buildings, though overgrown with what appears to be plants.]
[Across the river, you can see what looks like an old train station, less overgrown, with a train half off the tracks, and not far, what appears to a fenced off power station.]
[To the left, you can see what looks like a craggy quarry, that has what looks like a junkyard scattered about, with junked machines amongst the rocks.]
[To the right is lights, more neon lights, and you can hear music and is that a skate park?]
[There is a singular chest near you.]
[There is a word carved on it: Halfway]
no subject
Weakness: Memory loss.]
Eh? Halfway to what?
[She pokes at the colourful letters, like it's a puzzle she doesn't know how to solve, and tries to pry open the chest.]
no subject
As Rinku interacts with the chest, it opens and she'll see an inventory screen before her eyes.
And inside is a crafting table.
Its about the size of a milk crate and inside are tools and a book that says 'Recipe' on the cover.
Rinku can choose to carry it by hand, or put it into her own inventory, which she apparently has!
no subject
...She'll put the table into her inventory after, though.
no subject
[Its blank.]
[Completely and utterly blank.]
[Looks like she's going to have to come up with recipes herself.]
[Pop into the inventory it goes!]
no subject
[Pumps her fists! This absolutely can't go wrong.
Well, she'll try the left path. Junkyard means garbage and garbage means materials, right? Maybe it'll be like Higurashi where there's always useful stuff and a whole van in there
let's forget about the stuff that got used for murders.]no subject
Rinku is able to head to the junkyard and when she gets there, she will see a place FULL of materials. There is a the rocky quarry, so there is an assortment of what appears to be stone, if still in that neon lines style, and plenty of old machines. There's cars! There's appliances! Cell phones! And some of the tech even looks MORE advanced if she digs, old drones and lasers and other things.
There are SO many materials.
no subject
These things are way out of her depth as to how to put anything together, but... maybe that's what the crafting table is for! Is what occurs to her after a lot of distracted flitting around and poking at things.
She takes out the crafting table and tries putting a microwave and a cell phone onto it together. Can't beat the classics. (2009 is classic to her, and I am old.)
no subject
If this is a reference to something, Sair does not know what it is.Rinku puts together a microwave and a cell phone onto the crafting table and-
Gets a Smart Microwave! It heats things up! It pops popcorn! It can also be used to call people and programmed and given voice commands!
no subject
Sometimes your canon gets reclassified as a "collab-based franchise" for a couple years and you can make references like Steins;Gate, no worries. It's no time machine, but Rinku sparkles anyway, looking it over. She almost puts in a phone number to call... but then realizes that she doesn't remember any phone numbers, nor know who she can call.
"Aww..."
She isn't down for long, though. The Smart Microwave goes into the inventory, and she investigates some more items. What about the broken drone and the... weird laser gun? What's that do if she combines them?
no subject
Though what that does in Heart Dream Land, I do not even know.
Rinku now has Laser Drone. Its a drone! With a laser! She can use the phone settings of her microwave to control it, or attach another thing to be a controller.
no subject
...Wait, what is she supposed to be doing?
Drone recalled and put into her inventory, she's gonna try combining as many Tron-line rocks as she can to see what those do.
no subject
Rocks.
These are rocks.
Though as she's playing with them, sometimes she gets an item, sometimes she gets recipes.
Like so. The various different things you can use stone to make! You can make stone blocks! Slabs, stairs, walls! You can even get them carved with cool designs! Stones on stones on stones.
no subject
As she explores the junkyard, is there anything else of note?
no subject
This is a place where people throw things away, old junk left abandoned, but there are such possibilities here. Old can be made new and made better with a little determination and okay, quite a lot of cleverness.
The junkyard is a place of note because it is a place of possibilities that anyone can gather from.
no subject
This seems right to her. It feels like there's something more she should add to that, something fun and bouncy and spinny, maybe? But she's not sure who she is right now, much less where, much less what feels like the right thing to say.
Well, she smiles anyway, and she pockets a few more things and hugs the nearest large object to send back the happy feeling to wherever it came from. Then it's back to the riverbank to see what's going on there.
Re: Entrace
… … eyes … ]
My glasses?! [ PATS AT HER FACE.
AT HER HAIR? like somehow they may be hiding in there?? Her neck — ooh fuck, okay, no pendant either … … or shoes …
Is she wearing fucking pajamas? ]
[ Yes. Yes, she is. ]
Okay. Okay, I'm in Donnie's heart … in my pajamas. Okay. Cool. [ DEEP. BREATH.
Lets it out slow.
And she leans into the ninpo, opening herself up and reaching out for him, if she can. ]
Re: Entrace
She can probably make clothes for herself if she tries.
The connection is there. The Ninpo is still present. But its muted. She can't outright reach to anyone, at least not yet. Just that feeling that there IS another end to the connection.
There is no response.
