Noise.
It starts as just irritation. A metaphorical crawling under your skin. Things are too noisy, too bright, there is too much happening all the time and you can't take it all in-
It sounds so inviting, a freedom from the noise, but its wrong, its wrong, its wrong and the noise is getting louder, mechanical and foreboding as it sees you, it knows you are there, and it wants to make you apart of it.
For a moment, there is quiet.
You breathe.
And fall through water.

Then silence it, make it yours, make it you, take control and destroy what will not submit

Re: The Lab
[Leo coming over and draping an arm over Donnie.] At least you're getting some sleep, though for the record? Force unconsciousness is not real sleep so I hope you actually get some doctor no sleep for Four Days.
Like you can talk.
Zero hours, hermano. ZERO!
Re: The Lab
... Mouse has an oven that creates endless pizza, you know.
[is this a good idea? maybe not. will it result in Constant Donatello Hamato? probably yes. she'll live with the consequences.]
Re: The Lab
I know. Hunter learned about pizza from me and it was truly the best decision he could have ever made!
Re: The Lab
Oh, that was you, was it. Well, thank you. Now nobody on Mouse ever goes unfed for lack of remembering to eat, at that.
Re: The Lab
Yeah, no, I've had to break into his lab enough times to make sure he eats. No thanks.
[He preens at that.] That's because pizza is the best food! It has a consistent base, but the toppings can be altered to suit anyone's tastes and never get boring!
Re: The Lab
I'm guessing your dad introduced you to pizza the first time?
Re: The Lab
Re: The Lab
[this seems like a separate conversation she's just tacked into that goes back well before this one.]
I see.
Re: The Lab
[He'll roll with it.]
Ridiculous, really.
I do want pizza though. I wonder if there's a way to figure out the energy source the oven uses to mimic it for wider use.
[A screen pops up mid air, sketches starting of the oven.] I really should scan it now that I have my goggles, maybe practice the mystic eyes thing.
There he goes.
Re: The Lab
Not going to lie, though, I'm curious if he can make it work.
Re: The Lab
I'll figure out how to recreate that one day! No more mystic near death experiences for time magic!
[Oh, more screens popping up and he's moving about more freely, bouncing between a few ideas.]
Re: The Lab
But shouldn't we be trying to find you something to eat, Donnie? Even if it's just made up food for the soul?
Re: The Lab
That's made up food in the soul. I would just be eating myself. I'll eat when my body is awake for food. And this! This I can work on while asleep! Oh, I wonder if I ionize the radiation just so...
This is normal. Well, normal for Donnie. Shove a fruit in his hand and he'll munch it.
Re: The Lab
[she pauses.]
... you know, Leon, I'm gonna be real let down if the real you doesn't live up to the you that he believes in this much, in here.
Re: The Lab
The me out there is much better.
He's fine though, yeah.
Re: The Lab
[and she gives him a smile, and she's back out the door she came in from.]
