Noise

It starts as just irritation. A metaphorical crawling under your skin. Things are too noisy, too bright, there is too much happening all the time and you can't take it all in-

Then silence it, make it yours, make it you, take control and destroy what will not submit

It sounds so inviting, a freedom from the noise, but its wrong, its wrong, its wrong and the noise is getting louder, mechanical and foreboding as it sees you, it knows you are there, and it wants to make you apart of it.

[ Crow grimaces. ]

[ He's pulling his double saber off his back and attacking the chain in an attempt to break it.]

Crow! [He's moving to tackle into Crow, but man, that just makes the chain TAUT]

[And I assume Crow is physically strong enough to cut through a chain, SO THERE YOU GO, turtle is gonna do a tackle and isn't chained up now.]

[ HE IS IN FACT STRONG ENOUGH, and tackled now! Give Crow credit though, he keeps his grip on his saber and manages not to accidentally cut Donnie with it.]

Donnie! Work on something cooler!

[CROW IS]

[At risk of getting pulled into a headlock and noogie.]

I work on plenty of cool things and I can do that after you give me my stuff back!

Not a chance! You're just gonna work on the bunker again!

[There is a pause in the noogieing.]

[Frowning.]

I'm kind of bored of it, actually.

[ GOOD he does not like noogies!

Crow pauses. ]

Tell you what. I'll give you back the tablets.

If you promise not to work on the bunker anymore. And seriously promise me, none of this "I won't" and then stabbing me in the back and doing it anyway. Because I promise you, I'll never trust you again if you pull that shit on me.

I would never stoop so low as needing to stab someone in the back.

He's confidence so take that with a grain of salt!

[ Crow glances at Leo. ]

So then, whaddaya say? Do I let him have 'em back?

Depends how patient you are for the Cain Instinct or getting him a shiny.

Stop talking about me like I'm a dog. I am not so easily distracted. I am a scientist and my interests turn to what is more relevant to the situation at hand!

[Pause.] I do believe that promise though. You don't seem the type to lie on such things.

[There is another pause.]

I'm gonna be real, after the whole bunker fiasco, you're on thin ice. But it's not gone entirely-- mainly because I could tell something about it was off. Your mystic stuff.... was the wrong colour. And it was living.

So I've been holding onto that. "Don't lose the faith in him, not yet."

[A pause.]

That is actually very nice to hear, I wasn't sure on that. Not that you're wrong to, of course. I am amazingly helpful. [He does let Crow go, standing up and practically preening.] Really, I don't know what I was thinking. I rushed the work, it could have been better- [He turns to look at the tablets.]

There's the shiny. [Moving over to help him up.] Sad to say there's no getting Donnie to not work on shady inventions. Really...really no way. [He looks to the side to a screen that says 'how to get trackers in family without their knowledge.'] But hey, that's what Selfishness is for. To figure out what the line is between thinking and reality.

[ Crow's back on his feet and handing the tablets back over. ]

Heh. Shady, I can deal with. Just so long as that intelligence isn't being used against me. I'm clever as hell, but I know Donnie here has me beat on raw intelligence.

[He chuckles, taking the tablets.] Ain't that a mood. Get Selfishness up and it'll go better, especially if you're going to say stuff like that to him. Broseph has always been real into the idea of friends.

I thiiink I've met that guy already. That being said, my next goal is taking on the... Kraang, I think it's called.

Oh? Good. That should at least prevent the bunkering for a while if you guys don't get rid of the Corruption and whatever Dee's doing with the Kraang.

[There is a frown, tapping the katana at his side.] Something real wrong is going on with the Kraang. Everything was teal before, the pink came later. Its almost like there's a real Kraang infection, but I don't know how that can be. Donnie made sure he didn't have any left in his body.
