Tryse: Aloy's pointed out that your technology notices when someone's scanned it.
Tryse: She gifted me a Focus a few days ago and I've been toying with it.
Tryse: I was confused by some of the results until I realized it was a cipher and used a spell to decipher it. The one about languages.
Tryse: For what it's worth, I still don't understand the results, but Aloy mentioned you would have an issue with that, and so I offer my apologies.

Bootyyyshaker9000: Yes, I would have issue with that. I still need to talk to her about her habit for trying to scan my stuff without asking.
Bootyyyshaker9000: That magic can only translate it in your head and not in the scan, correct?
Bootyyyshaker9000: I'll need to add mystic protections.

Tryse: She doesn't mean to. It scans whatever we're looking at. If you get in the way or we swap our attention to you, well.
Tryse: It only translates in my head, yes.
Tryse: It likely won't be worth the effort, though. The number of people who can see, and use magic to translate, your encryption is probably limited to me.
Tryse: And if you lean too hard into a mystic solution, you risk making it subject to my spell to read magic writing.

Bootyyyshaker9000: Be that as it may, not all scans were accidental. The timing disproves that.
Bootyyyshaker9000: Here, but that will not always be the case back home. After all, technology and magic does exist and at least some yokai have to be interested in tech and magic.
Bootyyyshaker9000: It would be a ridiculous assumption to think there aren't at least some.
Bootyyyshaker9000: And it would not be solely mystic, I never like relying on SOLELY a mystic solution. Then it becomes dependent on me and I like when the things I make can keep going even if I'm elsewhere. That's part of the point of my machines, to do what I can't.

Tryse: Some might not be, but she's not the type to keep repeating the same exact thing that many times over if it doesn't work the first few.
Tryse: Well, if you want me to test it now and then, let me know ahead of time. I don't normally need to stock those spells here, after all.
Tryse: I was just reading some of the non-[SNEKLISH] books and had it prepared to do so again.

Bootyyyshaker9000: Its still a conversation I need to have with her.
Bootyyyshaker9000: I will probably do that. If I could have it done before getting home, then I wouldn't have to worry about any future involvements with the Hidden City. Especially now that the doors been open to the humans that the 'weird' definitely exists.
Bootyyyshaker9000: We have non Sneklish books?

Tryse: Just keep in mind that she's not trying to cause offense.
Tryse: We'll see what needs doing. It would be interesting to see if you can come up with anything, no one in the history of my world has managed to stump that spell.
Tryse: Yes, several of them in the library. They don't have any books of history or mythology, but the contents are... somewhat different from [Sneklish.]
Tryse: I might be the only person here who can read them. And even then, only for a short period of time. Twenty minutes per casting.
Tryse: There's dictionaries, though, to help actually LEARN the languages, but that takes too much time that I have to spend on other things.
Tryse: ...Though, now that I say that, I should speak with Airi or Aloy about building up a dictionary for a translation function in my Focus.
Tryse: I know Aloy must have one, she can read my home tongue, and no one else can.

Bootyyyshaker9000: Tryse, you are very worried I'm going to be quick to judge.
Bootyyyshaker9000: Which is weird when I have tried very hard to not be super judgy at Eggs despite my natural inclinations.
Bootyyyshaker9000: The people of your world also don't know tech like I do, let alone have any idea of how to combine the two. You fuse two languages together and it gets a lot harder to translate unless you know both very well.
Bootyyyshaker9000: We should go to the library together. I can compose a digital dictionary with my goggles, I just need to get my eyes on it. They'll be able to convert the images of the pages into a text document with a few hours of conversion.

Tryse: I mean to cause no offense, Donatello. But when it comes to Aloy, I worry.
Tryse: The Hamato family has shifted their position on her slightly, after all. You're still friendly, but...
Tryse: Well. There's, understandably, been changes.
Tryse: It's probably not intentional, even.
Tryse: But, for instance, your business with Aloy. She's mentioned that she isn't sure whether it's appropriate to even approach you anymore.
Tryse: Blames herself, but I don't know if she's managed to be pulled out of that attitude.

[She's just... Not gonna comment on the fusing of languages. She's read codes thousands of years old and codes that have been recently invented. Ones based on languages, others on symbols, others on mixes. There's been quite a lot of variation. But he'd see how well his stood the test.]

Tryse: That might be worth our time, yes.

Bootyyyshaker9000: Leo is still angry. He isn't quite as prone to spite as I am, but he's also a lot less quick to forgive.
Bootyyyshaker9000: Raph doesn't harbor grudges historically. He gets angry, but he's also quick to forgive when his anger has cooled and it has more than done so by now. Any repeat offenses would be bad, but that would be a twice bitten situation. Raph would make it clear if he was still upset, he has never been one to be subtle in his feelings, and he has always been clear in any reservations he has about people.

Bootyyyshaker9000: I didn't think she would worry that much, its not as if we were close.

Tryse: His beau was harmed. Doesn't matter that Hunter's forgiven Aloy, some of that will linger for a certain type of justice-minded individual.
Tryse: Raphael hasn't been purposefully pulling back from her, but it does seem like it isn't as warm as it used to be.
Tryse: And, well. There's the pullcaster. And when I spoke to her about the possibility of you helping me make armor, she didn't want you bothered.
Tryse: Said you were busy with other people's jobs and didn't know if it was appropriate to approach you.

Bootyyyshaker9000: He's always been protective. He's trying to avoid getting into a fight, but its a process.
Bootyyyshaker9000: I'll check in with him if everything is all right.
Bootyyyshaker9000: But no, no, we can't have that. My role is supposed to be the maker and fixer, its no good if someone thinks that of all things is not something to approach me for.
Bootyyyshaker9000: She probably didn't understand the peace offering.
Bootyyyshaker9000: That is unfortunate.
Bootyyyshaker9000: I'll need to correct that.

Tryse: You have to remember that she was an exile who grew up with only one person allowed to speak to her.
Tryse: And even then, her culture was vastly different from ours.
Tryse: Gestures that may be obvious to others aren't going to appear as such to her.
Tryse: One of the whole reasons we get along so well is that we can relate on that front.

Bootyyyshaker9000: I think that is less culture as more my way of communicating isn't the easiest for people to understand. The exile thing we both get.
Bootyyyshaker9000: I had rather hoped she understood if she understood how I don't approve of my stuff being scanned, but it seems that may not be the case.
Bootyyyshaker9000: I'll talk to her. It just may need to be in a few days.
Bootyyyshaker9000: If its emotionally fraught, I would not be
Bootyyyshaker9000: Equipped to handle it with grace.
Bootyyyshaker9000: If she expresses concern again, you can tell her I plan to talk to her soon.

Tryse: We haven't spoken of it again.
Tryse: It would be rude of me to push her if she didn't want to be pushed.
Tryse: And this really is more the business between the two of you.

Bootyyyshaker9000: If it has been that bad, then I'll need to shift up the priority when I can handle it.
