The Bunker of "Safety"

[You find yourself in a large stone room. It has enough room to stand up, even for the tallest, and plenty of space to walk around. Likely Donnie absolutely exploded the insides of this rocky area to make this much space. The walls and corners are cut cleanly thanks to his mystic tools.]

[In the ceiling, recessed with some metal holders are crystals that shine with a warm light. A magic sunlamp.]

[There are a few inches of water on the floor, and probably most impressively is he's managed to make it so the water cycles through to the ceiling to make a light waterfall across all the walls. There are some polished boulders that provide some dry spots in the room.]

[But do make it very hard to try and write or carve things onto any surface in the room.]

[There is also a door with no handle on this side. It's half slid into the stone and has a metal cover, though any investigation will reveal the door is very thick, so probably stone makes up its center.]

[When people being dropped off]

[They can tell Donnie is coming back because the wall with the door is suddenly covered in a purple pink wall that will be shoving them across the room to push them away from the door. Then he'll open the door and drop off the person he's caught, or the food for people.]

[Each time the wall comes up, almost everytime, the walls seem to be getting...pinker.]

[Just for you guys: The Things Donnie is collecting from his connections for all this nonsense]

-His strength Plus Korone's strength when she's nearby until she bites someone else.

-Randy's orbment which comes with tech magic like FIRE, strength buffs under conditions, up his crit range for harder hits, makes him faster.

[ dw buddy he does in fact wake up at some point. It's a slow wakeup between tranq brain and being laid out under the sun lamp, so dealer's choice if Raph is back online before or after Hunter gets de-caged.

Bleeeerghghghghgh etc. Fully just rolls over and squints at the waterfall wall for a few seconds.

It is, he can't help but notice, not denim in here. ]

That gets Raph actually sitting up way quicker than he would've been doing on his own. ]

Raph's fine! S'all good! [ He is sitting very still because going upright that fast made his brain unhappy. But. Okay. Lil guy first. Confusion second. Hunter is! Where!

Oh wait he's right here and it's maybe the saddest thing ever to look at. ]

Wh-- buddy, are you okay?!

[ Despite all his rage he’s just a bird in a cage. A wee little cardinal pecking furiously and fruitlessly at the bars.

Though he settles a bit when he sees Raph wake up for real. Phew. He just about collapses with relief. ]

I’m fine! I mean - the situation is totally mucked up but I’m fine!!

Donnie kidnapped me!

[ Raph feels like mucked up is a very good assessment of this situation. ]

Donnie? [ Kidnapping? That doesn't sound like him. ] But we were... just...

[ Just? New ruin. Roughhousing. And now he is... here. Peering around more now, taking in the whole zone. The Donnie-less zone. Turtle squinting at algebra. When you know Hunter's not a lying type and brain detail recall is failing.

Did something happen that he didn't know about? Game consequence thing? Cursed?? ]

Okay. We're gonna figure this out and get back out there, okay? It's gonna be fine.

[ He picks the cage up and very carefully checks for like, doors he could open or weak points he could yank off or what have you. Things that normal cages have but sadly mystic construct cages probably don't. ]

[ Alas, mystic construct cages absolutely don't. Those bars don't look like they're gonna bend, and there's no other way to take it apart. Hunter is well and truly caged.

It's a good thing those sunlamps are in there, so he won't starve at least. Just needs water.

He flutters a bit, trying to help, but not finding any weak spots either. ]

It's - it's really not fine. Something's seriously wrong with our brother.

Definitely a Donnie level of design. All he could really do with this thing is maybe crush it, and that would be basically murder. So absolutely not. Now Raph is just holding this birdcage for personal comfort. ]

Yeah, that's where the 'gonna be' comes in. Right now is more like crisis mode. I don't-- I don't know what coulda got him bad off enough to do this. He seemed okay after that last game... but it must be somethin'. It doesn't add up otherwise. Did he say anything or did he just nab you?

[ Hunter manages to wedge his wing through the bars at least. Just enough to give Raph a little comfort and contact. ]

We - we talked for a while. Yeah. He seemed fine until he wasn't? He was talking about how he'd give up his happiness and ours if he could keep us safe.

[ Hunter is an angel and Raph is glad he's here. In a roundabout way where he also super wishes he wasn't here.

This conversational point recount is enough to get a very "ehhh" sound from him. ]

Which he apparently went on ahead and set up for. Right. [ So maybe it's been a few days, give or take, depending on if Donnie's bothered with sleeping. He probably hasn't. It sounds kinda-- superfocused. Creepy. 'Give up his happiness and ours.'

Cool thing to do to Hunter, who grew up all locked away and not allowed to really be with people and getting manipulated and stuff. ]

I'm gonna label this one as snake god intervention for now, but we can't rule out that we're gonna need to pin him down for an exorcism.

[ Like! the walls! The sturdiness of it! The WATER everywhere?? Not that Hunter can make glyphs like this anyway, but he definitely can't do it with the water everywhere.

He huddles down a little bit. At least THAT part is different from Belos, after all. Belos completely underestimated him - was entirely too confident in his ability to control and/or murder Hunter. ]

[ Love a fancy water and heat lamp spot. When it's optional, he's all in favor of just basking under a nice hot lamp as part of a turtlepile.

The moral indignity of this bunker really takes away from that.

... maybe? I feel like at least Leo would've had to notice before now if it was that bad. He usually has a pretty good read. But we gotta keep it in mind just in case. 'cause this definitely ain't how Donnie do when he's got his head on straight.

[ We are now doing a little pacing in the enclosure. Something slow and steady, help shake off the drug brains. ]

We're gonna figure this out, Hunter. Whatever this is, we can all beat it together. And hopefully 'all' includes someone who can actually bust you outta birdcage jail.

[ Who knows what about what Donnie went through is not an issue. If someone got a weird front row memory cactus thing or Donnie told them himself, that's a separate thing.

[ Hunter huddles a bit at that, guilty at bringing it up? But he has to. He HAS to ask. Given what he’s seen of Donnie’s memories - and after - ]

I know he had the Kraang in his mind for a little while. With the ship. And - he’s been doing weird things that look like Kraang… stuff. Like tentacle constructs.

[ Raph wants to have an answer. He always wants to have an answer. Not in the Donnie way of having a big sponge brain or whatever, just in the way where he's the big brother and he takes care of his family. ]

[ From his experience? Head empty, no thoughts, only terror. He needs to talk to his brother, he needs to see him, he needs to help him and he's stuck in this weird zoo exhibit thing instead. ]

He is doing his due diligence to not let all his overprotective big brother slash substitute parent feelings do a spiral. Because spirals! Do not make solutions! ]

We'll fix this. We're gonna help him and we're gonna get him back to normal. Even if we gotta bust out of Donnie jail a hundred times and investigate every plant or glowy light or dumb-dumb snake god out there! And whatever it is that did this to our family, we're gonna pulverize.

And then we're gonna tell Donnie we love him a hundred times 'cause he's probably gonna feel bad anyway!
